Creative Lull - Here To Stay?

I haven’t been as productive with my YouTube channel as I know I can be.

Part of my dilemma is not feeling inspired to create (despite knowing that inspiration usually comes during the creative process, not before it starts).

Another part is trying to figure out exactly what I’m creating content for - to what end?

  • Am I creating content simply for the sake of creating?

  • Are my videos effective marketing material for my production business?

  • Or am I spinning my wheels without having an organized business plan?

What’s frustrating is knowing that I’m a skilled at what it takes to create content:

  • giving presentations

  • talking to a camera

  • video production

  • graphic design

  • video editing

  • entertaining

  • educating

  • SEO

(I’m not just tooting my own horn here - it’s the feedback people have left on my content that leads me to believe I’ve got the chops.)

Yet I’m in the middle of this creative, uninspired lull.

So what am I doing to overcome?

Writing.

Creating in a different way through a different medium from what I’m used to.

And it’s helping me process my thoughts.

How to do you get through a creative lull?

I’d love to hear what works for you.
